I’m a Joliet, IL based illustrator and graphic designer, and I create quirky pieces of art that appease my inner ten year old. I‘ve been drawing for as long as I could remember and hold a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. I worked in architectural signage and advertising for over a decade before deciding the 9-5 grind just wasn’t for me. I took a hiatus from commercial art but picked up my paintbrushes in 2020 during the pandemic when I began selling portraits of pets to my friends.

I decided to take my side hustle up a notch and officially launched Becky Blue Designs in 2022. I have, since then, began creating my own original artwork, illustrated my very first children’s book, and have taken all sorts of commissions including, but not limited to portraiture, logo, poster, and album cover design, and custom art based on whatever my clients can dream up! I work in a variety of mediums including watercolor, marker, ink, acrylic, gouache, and also work digitally in both Procreate and the Adobe Creative Suite. 

My influences and inspirations are broad and include animals, nature , and native wildlife, my 80s childhood, urban legends and lore, music, pop culture and whatever happens to be on my mind.
